For ikke så længe siden skrev jeg lidt om min begejstring for den nye årgang af Gianfranco Alessandria's Langhe Nebbiolo. Det er jo altid rart ikke at være alene, så det glæder mig, at Monica Larner fra det internationale vinmagasin Robert Parker deler min glæde over årgang 2013. Hun giver den stolte 90 points med følgende begrundelse:
'The 2013 Langhe Nebbiolo offers great quality at a very attractive price point. Similar to Alessandria's Barolo releases, this Nebbiolo sees a seven-day maceration period followed by aging in small oak vessels. In the case of this wine, it rests in oak for a brief six months period. The quality of fruit in 2013 is what keeps this wine on its toes. You'll get ripe fruit, dark cherry and pretty herbal nuances. Drink 2015 - 2020.'Pæne ord om en Langhe Nebbiolo vi kan sælge for 150 kr. Om vinhuset Gianfranco Alessandria tilføjer Monica Larner:
'Gianfranco Alessandria is one of my favorite producers in the Monforte d'Alba township. He runs this boutique estate with his wife Bruna and his young daughter Vittoria. They farm 5.5 hectares of vines (that they own) plus an additional 1.5 hectares that are rented. I remember meeting Vittoria as a teen as she worked expertly in the winery and did most of the heavy lifting. She is a great example of the newest generation of vintners to tame the beautiful Nebbiolo grape.'I morgen får vi Gianfranco's topbarolo San Giovanni hjem sammen med hans basisbarolo. Begge i den gode og drikkevenlige nye årgang 2011. De to vine får henholdsvis 94 og 93 points i Robert Parker. Antonio Galloni fra Vinous giver dem 92+ og 91 points.
Der er altså noget at glæde sig til. Lange Nebbiolo er aktuelt særdeles velegnet til lidt kraftigere grillmad. Så tænd op i grillen og nyd sommeren de dage den kommer på besøg.
